The thing to do is kinda ignore him, but at the same be a little affectionate with him, and in return he will do the same for you!

Talk to him about it. Let him know you're the kind of girl who needs more affection than what he's giving. Don't try to hide it and don't ignore him, that won't make anyone happy. And if you see yourself with him long term you need to be able to tell him how you feel.
