Wow, Christians lie A LOT.
Christians believe the Earth is 6000 years old. No, it doesn't say this in one statement in the Bible. Some bored Christian spent a weekend adding up all the dates in the Bible (because it keeps a pretty good timeline) back to the creation story, and the number they got was 6000.
Christians today try to ignore that, but they believe the Bible is God's word and that's what it says.

Many christians believe the world is between 4000 - 10000 years old, depending on the denomination of christian. They believe this because in the bible it states the ages of the people, such as adam, eve, cain, able, moses, noah, etc.. and they go by a timeline from adam and the dawn of creation to set the date. They totally ignore the scientific dates for some reason. One christian i know ignores this because he states that scientists are just plain wrong in their findings, and the dinosaurs did not really exist and that is the scientist way of trying to cover up god LOL. So whatever. However, I do know is that is is MUCH older than 10000 years. And the scientific communtiy could care less what people believe - they largely rely on factual data.

Some scholars came up with that date in the early 1800s by going through the generations in the Bible and figuring out approximately how many years separated Adam from Jesus. Subsequent scientific discoveries have negated the idea, but some people still cling to it, ascerting that it is backed up by the Bible and therefore must be true.
Incidentally, the Jews just celebrated Rosh Hashana - the Jewish New Year - and it is year 5767 according to the Jewish calendar.

The Bible does not say how old the earth is, but it is most certainly older than 6,000 years. In the Genesis account of creation, you may notice that it pertains to Jehovah preparing the earth for human habitation. The earth was already in existense before that first creative day started. The earth may have been around millions of years before that.

The earth is billions of years old. This has been proven by science.
Those you follow the Holy Books know only that we have 6000 years of recorded history. G-d's years did not follow our concept of time.

Christians, Jewish, and Muslims all believe that the earth is about 6000 years old. However we know scientifically that the earth is in fact about 4.5 - 4.6 billion years old.

Geology proves that the earth is far older than 6,000 years...assuming you're referring to the time we know. Your question mentions religion so I assume you're asking in a religious context. God's time is not our time. If your asking regarding the seven seals, then don't. No one knows where we are in relation to the Second Coming.
