I have really bad problems. First off, I worry about everything, and not just normal worring, it is so bad I make myself sick, I get panic attacks, my heart goes fast and I shake really bad. I worry about things that I have absolutly no control over such as weather, I have a huge phobia of weather, I am constantly watching the weather. Then I worry about bad things that are going on in the world, I am scared of the moon, and stars, for the fact that I could see a metor hit the earth, that is a huge fear of mine. I cant really talk to anyone about it because when I actually say all of this out loud it sounds rediculas. Please help me, what can I do to be at peace and not worry so bad. Please please some one help me.

It's not ridiculous, you're not ridiculous... You just need a little help. Phobias and Anxiety are quite common in society and it can be treated. Definately see a Psychiatrist or a Psychologist. They'll probablly suggest some meds, which will help a lot, to calm you through the cognitive therapy. It's important to go through counseling and not just take meds. Research shows that both together are most effective. You may feel anxious about saying this out loud, but these professionals have heard it ALL! Trust me! It will be well worth the effort. Once this is no longer such a controlling part of your life, you will feel like a new person. Best wishes... you'll be fine.

Click on my avatar and then on my anxiety question. I just received lots of good answers. I hope you find a way to get some help for yourself. I am afraid of a lot too. Not so much about weather and meteors, although I have thought about it. I just know there is nothing you can do and really if a natural disaster happened and you were in it's path, you wouldn't feel much, it would be so quick. When it's your time it is your time. However I become very anxious on planes now and I worry a lot in general. Feel better, be kind to yourself.

Fears are real to many people. Fears can be paralyzing and can interrupt our daily lives and thinking patterns. It is very important that you go see your family doctor and tell him or her about your fears and ask him or her if they would recommend for you to see a psychiatrist. There is no shame in seeing a psychiatrist or receiving counseling and perhaps even medication. Anxiety, panic attacks and depression in addition to your fears and phobias will only become worsened if you don't seek the proper help and treatments.

Good luck and I hope you begin to feel better soon!

that's too much paranoia to deal with online (although this isn't a bad place for you to vent your fears.. even though you will no doubt get some rude answers) but to truly move on you will have to seek some professional help.. although I'm not a big fan of medication, it has it's values, and I'd suggest going to your doctor and getting anti anxiety meds to tide you over until you can get some therapy.. your doctor will be able to help you find some.

It could be little of anxiety. Seek medical advice and go from there. I know Dr's always try and put you on meds but it's up to you. You have the right to refuse. You can try and see if they make you feel and go from there. Please seek medical advice.

Rather than medication, you could do this... Next time you encounter a fear, stay totally inside of it... & it vanishes. You'll be OK. Just keep this in mind.

You are neurotic. That is someone who is constantly "over-anxious."

You need to see a psychiatrist. You are not the only person in the world who has this phobia: http://www.uiowa.edu/~ourpubs/fyi/PM%20Pagesucker%20sit/051096web/professor-identifies-sev.html
