Freedom of a religion is a good thing. We should be grateful for what we have, because a lot of other people don't have it.

Not all but some (e.g. Saudi). Islamic theocracies view teaching any religion besides Islam as apostasy. The exception is Iran (not Arab), which is an Islamic theocracy but allows for the paractice of Christianity, Judaism, and Zoroastrianism.

First, ALL religions were a way to control the masses.. Especially christianity. The people of islam know of jesus, and choose a different path.. just as many of us here know of mohammed and choose a different path. They, like many people, feel that their religion is the only way.. and the right way. Religion is a taught thing - from generation to generation. In my experience, it is best to let people pray how they want to, and preach to those that will listen, not those that do not want it - and practice what they preach.

Christianity isn't illegal, but under Shari'ah (Islamic law), apostasy (e.g., converting to Christianity) is punishable by death.
The same situation used to hold in Christian cultures, but we went through this little historical epoch called the Enlightenment, thanks to which we have rational criticism of religious traditions, religious liberalism, pluralist democracy, freedom of thought and freedom of expression. The Islamic world simply needs to join the Enlightenment project.

Christianity is just like Islam. At least Islam doesn't try to disprove evolution with lies all the time.

They don't want the truth. They have bought the lies of the enemy. It's also a way to keep the people oppressed. If you keep them oppressed, poor and mostly uneducated...they can't over throw / stop the current government.
