My question is out of sheer curiousity. I have seen many ex-cops that quit the force because from what they said "the curruption" that goes on inside the workplace.

I absolutely agree that generally CPS does not do what they are intended to do.
Whether that be because of caseloads that are too high, workers that are burnt out, people that don't care, or government corruption I don't know. But our children are paying for it.
The foster parent program is set up so that the least qualified and most morally corrupt are cashing in on the program and using the children and our tax dollars.
Do you know that we allow more money to keep up a Child molester in our prison system and he has more rights then the child that he molested that is now in our foster care programs?
It makes me sick!

I'm not, nor have I ever been a social worker. However, I am a Psychologist and have worked with abused children. I also know from personal experience that CPS is a JOKE. As a child, someone took it upon themselves to call CPS on my mother daily, with the accusations that my mother was beating us and not feeding us. It was all lies, and CPS determined it was all lies. This person was not calling anonymously, and they had record of who she was. Once they determined it was all lies, they would STILL investigate when this person reported what they KNEW was a lie. My mother had social workers on her doorstep weekly for lies.

On the other hand, I have known people that NEEDED to have CPS at their houses and they never came.
