what would bea good lie to tell my teacher why i stayed of out school if i have a common cold

It's possible to get influenza at any time, but outside of the normal flu season (October to April) it is very unlikely that a healthy person would come down with flu. If you're immunocompromised (AIDS, recent organ transplant) the chances are higher.

not that i never played hooky... but get to school, an education is one of the few things in this life that can't be taken away from you by other people once you have it. it's one of the most valuable things you will ever have. on top of that, more and more schools are requiring doctors notes to get credit for an absence, and if you miss past the allotted days for your school you will have to have a doctors note just to pass the grade.. that being said, yes it is possible to get the flu any time of the year.. but i doubt your teacher is going to be easily convinced if it's not flu season.. she/he probably isn't a fool i wouldn't try and treat them like one.
