Oh yea man oh man , Check out the 2007 Lightning F-150 flat out run a Corvette and in handling as well, and very pricey tho, older ones are just as quick but the new ones ,ford is keeping a low profile now because of forgine imports and like the GT -40 and the Shelby Gt-500 the snake is back , ford never boast to much about hypo cars , in fact the lightning truck , at ford there are two twelve man teams that only work on the lightning truck S.V.T.( special vehicle team) This truck is a true performer and if you can afford one $45,000 it hold the record for or as the fastest vehicle that's a production vehicle on the planet and insides are wow ,get in one you will never want to get out of it, the new one is made on the sport track enlarged chassis and its the best looking one to date, check it out on fordvehicles.com and or Rouch racing version, short and simple it will rock you world, it has factory a 5.7 liter V-8 with a Eaton supercharger with a cold air box and suspension that will make any other vehicle shutter, these people that knock em know nothing about performance vehicles , I noted someone said I prefer Gm better this is what I mean they have No Clue What A Lightning Is, take care get one I hope you do, there nothing much out there that can even catch it, very very few imports maybe, and =i am talking lambos, GT-40 well that's another ford , best vehicles on the planet hands down

Yeah, if I was ever to go oval that is what i'd get.

They run high 13's stock and make a lot of hp with minimal mods, nearly everyone I know who has one run 12's of damn close.

FoMoCo, we may have had this discussion before, but the Lightning, at least in stock trim, doesn't want any part of a vette, unless its a LT1 C4, and even thats questionable. The motor is not a 5.7L, it is a 5.4L w/an eaton supercharger, 360-380hp depending on the year model. There is also no 2007 SVT Lightning, there's barely an SVT left at Ford. And forget the Roush F-150, that fat A$$ can't get out of it's own way. Nothing can match it? I'll send you a vid of a 4.8L silverado whooping a modded Lightning if you want.

Yes- I've worked in repair shops for over 5 years and the most reliable cars and trucks are fords. Lightenings are really nice trucks.

Did you know that for stands for First On Race Day? :)

I own a 94 white Lightning that I bought new. I guess I should trade it off because I had to put new tires on at 75000 (yes the Firestone's still had legal tread but were close). I have 106000 on it now and the other day I broke the post on my battery trying to get it off. Every thing else except the CD player and inside door handle is original,EVERYTHING!!! I would own a new one except I am on fixed income and can't afford the payments.

My friend has a 99 I drove. It was really nice and quick too. It rode ok, a little stiff, but stays stuck to the pavement nice. Before that he had the older bodystyle. He said the ride was much harsher.
