If they are able to extract the DNA, what will creationists have to say then? Will this just be another example of Satan manipulating events? Or will they finally come to realize that the earth is not 6000 years old but millions upon millions of years old?

I am somewhat skeptical that soft tissue would survive 70 million years. That is a heck of a long time. I would suggest waiting for the final analysis before jumping to any conclusions.

That said evolution is a fact with tons fo evidence, and repeatable experiments. and certainly does not depend on this for any verification

I don't think most creationists would argue that the earth is millions and millions of years old. The Bible doesn't contradict that. It says the God created the earth in 7 days (Hebrew). The word used in Hebrew means time periods, not 24-hour periods.

Such hostility over such a non-important subject.

The big error is in thinking that there is disagreement between the theory of evolution and creationism. There is no disagreement.

Darwin viewed evolution as a tool of the Creator.

If you have to fudge Revelations (because it says the "rapture" was a thousand years ago), why can't Genesis be interpreted in the same spirit?

They will only argue that the tissue is soft because they believe the T-Rex died less than 6000 years ago.

There's already a vast array of evidence supporting evolution; that is why it is the framework theory being used to explain life right now.

The religious have already ignored all of that, probably because they can't understand it, so why do you think this would be any different?

God himself couldn't convince some of them. Creationists don't use science as their main source of historical knowledge anyway. More science doesn't help.

Those who hold beliefs without proof will easily dismiss proof that does not conform to their beliefs. Their brains are hermetically sealed. You efforts are wasted. You cannot educate those whose greatest pride is in their stubborn insistence that their ignorance is a virtue.

Christianity does not dispute science nor vice versa.Of course evolution is fact, not theory.

That is really great!!! Once we clone that baby we can convert it to Christianity or some other dopey religion.

But seriously, that is very very cool.

Who says the earth is only 6,000 years old? The Bible doesn't say that.....You've been talking to the wrong people.
