I have always been told that you refrigerate any cooked food after you put it in the storage container and let it cool to room temperature.

As far as eating chicken that has been left out for a few hours, I have always been wary of eating something left out very long. However, my mom and my fiance's grandma both cook food and leave it sitting out for hours before putting it away. No one from either family has ever had food poisoning from it!

Before refrigerating anything you must first allow it to cool completely. Bacteria will grow faster if you put it into the fridge hot. Things likd fried chicken often stay out in room temps for picnics etc. but I wouldn't push it past a couple of hours.

That should be fine. Dont leave it out the whole night as well, then eat it. You can normally taste when a chicken is not right.

Any cooked meat product should be refridgerated immediately. Leaving it out can be a potential risk for food poisoning.

It depends how many hours pass before you eat it. I wouldn't eat it after three or four hours. Why not put it in the fridge and re-heat it? It's not good to leave food sitting out.

Experts say that it is not go. Because Bacteria can form and make you sick. But the trick is to warm it up. Warming it up can kill the bacteria that formed on it while leaving it out. So go ahead and enjoy the chicken. Just make sure you put it in the oven or microwave and warm it up. It will kill the germs.

I am a little bit scared of leaving chicken. Had previous bad experiences. Rather leave in the fridge
