I'm with you. Stick to the basics and don't get caught up in all the dogma.
Peace and love - the rest is just confusing nonsense.

You are describing a Utopian world that will never exist. Or to be more optimistic, has a slim chance of existing. Why?
Simply stated, human beings are not a herd of cows chewing their cuds in blissful ignorance. We are a complex species of animal that has consciousness and knowledge of our own mortality. It is this mortality issue that's created the need for religion. What happens when we die? Why are we here? Who/what started all of this?
As long as we have inquiring minds, there will be diverse opinion, religion and philosophy. "Agreeing to disagree" is a leap of greater maturity that we have not yet accomplished as a species. And I do not see that happening anytime soon given what I have read here.

--- ALL religions have more in common than differences.
The Evil one is the one who putt’s the temptation of "Violence" in front of mankind. So, mankind then using what he knows and understands will twist the truth, and recruit his other brothers and sisters into this false perspective of religion. For sin fuels itself for its lust for sin; in these cases, violence, death, & war are the sins.
God has always corrects and prevails after groups of men go astray and go on a violent binges. God is always on top and his peaceful followers always outnumber the warriors. However, when the peaceful lambs of God get slaughtered over and over and over. When this happens, God usually gives one warriors who can take 10 evil ones to protect his other lambs.
Evil is everywhere. Look at those wonderful Amish ppl who were terrorized by a demon possessed maniac who committed crimes against children (our most innocent). We can only hope to avoid evil, and should we encounter evil we need to be strong and pull from the wisdom of what we pull from religion (with out the false twisting of words).

I sometimes wish we all could as well, because sometimes it gets to such an extent that you want the whole world to end. It's horrible what the young people are going through in this day and age, and our parents say we're luckier than them because we've got more luxuries...I think not. So I agree, can't we get along?

Can't we all just get along?
NOPE!
As long as we have Unholy Books that teach LIES!
"Not Jesus, but a look alike, was substituted and crucified at the Cross." -4:157
THIS IS BLASPHEMY - AND A LIE! No proof can be offered at all. == The Quaran

I am not, it is not I who hates, but those who come here "bashing" me who produce the hate, If those who dont like it disagree, then they should just log off.
They dont want to learn about the faith, they just want to argue out of what I call testosterone poisioning and for the sake conflict.

I'd like to get along but wherever there are fundamentalists of any creed they must be challenged vigorously. Never concede an inch to them.

I think the believers and non-believers do okay. It's the childish potstirrers who are out for a laugh that can't deal with it.

Okay. Stop trying to convert me, to threaten me I'll go to hell for not believing, to call me names, to quote the bible on me, which I don't believe in, and to push on all of us laws and regulations based entirely on religious values (no abortion, no gay marriage, no sexual education in schools, etc.).
Once you do, we can get along.
