I get up a few minutes early in the day and stay up later at night..it depends on the age of your kids but when i went through a major surgery we came up with quiet time because i needed more rest them normal...every day at 1230 we'd have quiet time that meant every kid from age 3-15 had to go into their rooms and play quietly for 4 minutes they were allowed to play read, watch TV normal stuff but they had to be quiet with their play and stay in their rooms then i could rest, bathe, watch TV ,read do whatever mom wanted for 1 hr..I had my older kids take turns going in the 3 yr olds room from day to day to play house,a game ,dolls or whatever to entertain her...at the end of the week if they allowed me to have "quiet time" during the week we did something special..rented movies, went to the movies, rollerskating.bowling, had friends over...etc with them getting a reward i got my reward "ME TIME". My kids are all now in school but on days off during the week..or weekends that get hectic we still do this

I like to jog, and am fortunate enough to have a treadmill in my home. So I put on a video for the kids, get them a snack, and go jogging without leaving home. I always tell them they can come get me if they need or want me for anything, but they do very well. After jogging, I like to do yoga, and sometimes one of my kids will join me. It's very relaxing, and it's also good for kids to learn that exercise is just a part of life.
I have 3 kids, ages 3, 4, and 6. (Yes, I am very busy, but I have a blast with my kids - they are wonderful!)

My daughter is 15 months old, so there's really no sending her to play unsupervised...I've found that the best option for me is to relax with her, rather than in spite of her. I put her in the trailer and go for a bike ride or stroller/walk. We go to the park and swing or sit on the porch swing and read books. It's "active relaxation", but it's better than nothing. She still naps in the afternoon, so on weekends I nap then too or do some indulgent mommy thing like a pedicure or a bubble bath. I love to spend time with my girl, but it's important to remember that you're not just a mommy!!!

My mothers (yes I have 2) read a lot and do relaxing excercises such as walking and breathing techniques. Just put a good movie on for the kids or give them a game to play while you're doing so.

There's no relaxing until they are sleeping! That's the life of a mom! Time for relaxing is before bed - read to unwind.

I have two girls aged 12 and 13,I put one on the computer, and send the other out to play.Sometimes they are like two old women moaning at each other. When they were younger I would get drawing paper, colouring in books pens, pencils and sit them at the table and ask them to draw me a beautiful colourful picture.Colouring in books are the best thing ever invented!!!
I also have a playstation for peace,an eye toy singing machine upstairs.
I like a good read, that is how I relax.Or just paint my nails, something simple,a new colour on my hair.

possibly you could tell her to relax, and practice dinner, help with chores. properly i imagine youd do a good job doing that because youve alreadt suggested it:) How about you 2 watch an exceedingly good movie at the same time at homestead
