The priesthood is not (want me to repeat that, NOT) a breeding ground for pedos. The problem is that people though that being a priest meant you were sinless. They're still just men who fall to temptation like everyone else. Despite the belief of those who dislike the Catholic church, the number of pedos is not as high as everyone thinks. And don't go by that BBC program. Asking English protestants about the catholic church is like asking a blind man about fashion. They've been at odds since Henry VIII.

The priesthood is no more a breeding ground for pedophiles than is the public school system, teh YMCA, Boy Scouts, or any other place where sick people have access to children.

The religion doesnt need to be changed as its just one off people within in it that are doing bad things.

The Religion itself is not wrong.
A few within it are.
There are also peodaphile Coaches, Preachers, Imams, Rabi's, Aunts, Uncles, Neighbors, Teachers, Bosses, etc.
The problem is that we as a people are moving away from God.

Most of the homosexual & pedophiles in the priesthood aren't Irish. Only the alcholics that are doin the lonely wives they hear about in confession.
