I dreamt I was sitting with him and his diciples, before he went up to heaven, after being risen from the dead.
He made a prediction about the future (I wont say what it was), and when I replied: "I'd like to see that happen", Jesus turned to me, said my name, and said: "Surely, after spending time with me, you should know that you dont need to see something, to know it's true." (Maybe he was implying God, I dont know) He wasnt mean about it either, he said it with a kind smile on his face.
Then he went up to heaven in a bright display of light. At this time my dream ended.
I'm not Christian, why would I dream of Jesus?
Apart from the Christians saying, choose our religion, any other ideas?

hmm, that was a nice dream. I think that god is dealing with you in your own way. every person is different therefore, dealt with differently. A mass blanket religion doesnt work for weveryone, because we have our own minds, and our own thoughts and questions. Thats why he gave it to us. Its called a free will. please look within yourself for some serious answers. And I am sorry if you have been hurt by christians. I believe that is why that many turn from it is because of peoples ways, not the God factor.
Good luck to you on your journey, you'll do good.

You don't have to be Christian to dream of Jesus. You don't even have to believe he existed. I have no clue why you dreamed of Jesus. It could be that there was a program on TV or the Radio (this has happened to me) or you have had Jesus on your Mind for one reason or another.
People dream of all sorts of weird things that really do not make any sense. I sometimes have dreams where I am being chased and then murdered, and after I die I become the murderer. I have also had dreams where I was driving a cardboard box. Why? Who knows, it is just the way the mind works.

You could just ignore this dream and dismiss it as a fluke of your imagination, but I believe you would not have asked if you didn't believe it was significant. I pray that you take it seriously.
In Genisis 41 you can read the account of "Pharoah's Dreams". You may know the story of Joseph who was sold by his bothers (all sons of Jacob who God renamed "Israel" for struggling with God) to a merchant, sold again to one of the Egyptian Pharoah's officials, wrongly accused by the officials wife, and then imprisoned up until this point. Joseph (through God) had interpretted dreams for Pharoah's cup bearer and baker who where in prison with him. Both his interpretations came to pass. The cup bearer was released and the baker was killed. 2 years later Pharoah (not a Chrisitian) had 2 dreams. 1 about 7 healthy cows eaten by 7 scrawny cows and the 2nd about 7 healthy heads of grain replaced by 7 poor heads of grain. Joseph, again through God, interpretted these dreams for him as 7 good years followed by 7 years of famine. Because of that he was made ruler of Egypt, reunited with his brothers and father, saved his family, and started the nation of Isreal (to later be led out of Egyptian captivity by Moses and Aaron when they became a nation of over 2 million).
Now again in the New Testament there was a man named Saul who was killing and persecuting the followers of Jesus after He had gone to Heaven. This is Acts 9. Saul was on his way to Damascus to capture Christians when a great light blinded him. Acts 9:3 As he neared Damascus on his journey, suddenly a light from heaven flashed around him. He fell to the ground and heard a voice say to him, "Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me?"
"Who are you, Lord?" Saul asked.
"I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting," he replied.
Later, God renamed Saul (He did that a lot). His new name was Paul. Paul wrote the majority of what we know as the New Testament. He is considered the father of the modern church. In fact Catholics assign a pope to lead their church. They consider Paul to be the 1st.
Throught the Bible, God used dreams to speak to people and give them instruction. Christian or not, God spoke to many people through dreams.
As far as the prediction of the future, that was usually God's message to people. The Bible gives us only 1 way to test phrophecy. This is the only way to know if your dream was truly from God. The only way to test it is to see if it comes to pass. Now you should also try to make sure that your dream is congruent with scripture. If your dream conflicts the teachings of Jesus, you should be very scepticle. The Bible says that even Satan desguises himself as an angel of light.
If your dream was from God, you should consider carefully what to do with it. You should do his will, not yours. God may want to use you for something great, like Paul (Saul). That does not mean that you are greater than anyone and more important than anyone to God, so don't go start a cult and say you are a Holy messenger from God. God used Paul to spread Christianity to the world, but he was one of the most humble men in history.
I think you should first of all start going to a Bible based church. (A church that follows the Bible, not another book, or odd traslation) if you are not already going. You should reconsider your choice not to believe in Christianity. Of anyone who would choose not to believe in Jesus, I would think you should now reconsider.
It is not the mission or even responsability for Christians to convince you to "choose" their religion. The task we have been given is to spread the good news that we have all been saved from an eternity of damnation from our sins by the death of Jesus. Nobody on earth can convince you. Once you have been told the news, God will work in your life to bring you to him". He alone can change your mind. It is now your responsability to make the right decision. You will not have a chance to reconsider after you die, which could be today. Take it serisously! He is trying to let you know that he loves you and He wants you to be with Him forever.
I would be glad to answer anymore questions that you have. I will be praying for you, so be aware that God will be working in your life.
