Repent means change of thinking or to turn your thinking the other way. So to repent is to change your thoughts since sin start in thoughts.. or desires.
For Christianity, repentance 'starts' by accepting Christ as your Savior, then reading and meditating on the word of God...

You can repent by one way, only.
Ask for forgiveness from Jesus, believe that He died for you, and rose again. Turn from sin, and walk as a new creation in Christ.

and If you are sincere Jesus can take your sins away.Pray to God and in Jesus' name ask him to forgive you of your sins it's that simple. Get a bible start reading the gospels.You'll fall so in love with your savior.
