Lyme Disease is caused by all of the parasites listed above and can cause dimensia if untreated. I have not heard of any of the parasites listed above ever causing Alzheimers though.
Lyme Disease is a very serious disease if left untreated can cause death. Many 3rd world countries get this disease which leads to worse.

Well, actually, there are 2 diseases that you can get. One of them is Lyme Disease, and the other one is the West Nile Virus. It's not technically a disease, but it's a bad virus. For some more info on these sicknesses go to:
For Lyme Disease:
www.mayoclinic.com/health/lyme-disease/DS00
For West Nile Virus:
www.cdc.gov/ncidod/dvbid/westnile/
I hope that this info helps you in what your trying to learn!

Infected mosquitoes are the primary source for West Nile virus. Although ticks infected with West Nile virus have been found in Asia and Africa, their role in the transmission and maintenance of the virus is uncertain. However, there is no information to suggest that ticks played any role in the cases identified in the United States.
Also...Dengue fever, Malaria,

Mosdquitos can spread West Nile Virus. My brother got it and he got menengitits as one of the symptoms.
Ticks spread lyme disease and Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever. I actually got infected with the spotted fever from a tick when I was little. I was too young to remember, but my mom said I "got real sick."

I know of Malaria, spread by Malaria mosquito but that's obvious to any doctor.. dunno if this'll be of any help. Other insects.. that's very open, you should specify your q a bit more cz there are millions of 'em ^^
Oh and btw, some insects that suck blood like Mosquitos transfer diseases from one sick person to another healthy, just by these tiny little droplets in it. So this makes it even harder to identify the disease..

My daughter in law had Lymes disease and had all kinds of mental and physical symptoms before she was finally correctly diagnosed. It is spread by deer ticks. It can really eff a person up. Have them test for it.
