Its hard to just know how to "hear" god. It isn't the same for everyone, and i personally worship him trhough music, while tohers might do it through being quiet, reading, writing...etc. Just experiment to try to become closer to him.

Yes the way I worship is in going to church, participating in lessons, praying, reading scriptures....yada yada yada.

But I really think the way I worship is in the way I live my life day to day - the small choices and actions I make every day. Obviously, some days I do it better than others.

My point is, spiritual experiences aren’t always huge flashy thunder and lightning things. Think of Elijah when he went to the mountain to talk to God, and there was a fire, and huge wind, and an earthquake, and God wasn’t in any of these things, but He was in a still small voice.

Just know that a lot of people think they hear God talking to them all the time, but they are hearing themselves. If you are a true believer in God you will know when you hear Him, so do not worry.

I am an Hindu,i have never seen God,but firmly believe in his presence.
in every creature on this earth u can see his presence in the form of beauty and life.
Man can never invent or discover any such thing.
I really wonder how God has created this world and has created creatures like ant as well as human beings...everyone with specific features and duties.
Whatever be ur form of prayer,i think it shud be just a simple true prayer to God from your heart, i personally feel that instead of going for worldl and showy means of showing respect nd devotion towards Him,we shud chose simple ways to make life beautiful for everyone in this world, around us.Thats the true devotion to the Lord.

"Be still and listen." We cannot hear the gentle voice of God if we are constantly moving about keeping ourselves busy and blairing the radio and the TV. Shut it all off and listen. God speaks through our conscience. It is unlikely you will hear a "human" voice, but rather he gently prods our conscience. Do a Holy Hour with God and you will come to understand over time.

I am a member of two religions:

1. COSI - The "Church of Sleeping In" and

2. COBE - The "Church of Bodily Excitement"

Services are held in my home every Sunday Morning. There is also a mid-week service during Holidays.

you might try going to a quiet spot where you feel close to GOD. personally I prefer the outdoors in comfortable weather. then open with a Prayer asking HIM to come to you and give you some guidance. breathe normally and just relax and Wait. sooner or later a message or messages will come. remember that time patience and perseverance accomplish all things.

is He verbally communicating with them? if they say yes then get out of there. it should be the Holy Spirit impressing your heart and mind. you will know if its from God by no will of your own, studying God's word, providence, consult with godly friends, ask God in prayer, make a decision
