these puppies are huge already, they have teeth , they are getting around real well and are able to eat and drink on their own, but aren't they a little too young to leave the mother?
she still lets them nurse sometimes just not as often as they would like

You want a litter of puppies chewing on you with those sharp little teeth?

Momma dogs usually know better than we do that its time to wean their babies. She is doing whats right, especially if they are eating well and are fat and healthy.

In most kennels, puppies get the first taste of food other than Mom’s milk at about 3½ weeks of age. This may seem early to you, but after working with numerous breeders and seeing many litters raised in our own homes, we can guarantee that the puppies of any breed can take food on their own at this age. To make a puppy mush, we stay with the same brand of food the mother is fed, selecting the company’s dry puppy food. It might be Iams, Purina, Science Diet, Nature’s Recipe, etc.

Prepare the puppy mush by placing 2 cups of high quality dry puppy food in a blender with 12.5 oz liquid puppy milk replacer and fill the rest of the blender with hot water. This should be blenderized until the consistency of human infant cereal. (This feeds 6-8 puppies of a medium-sized breed.) The puppies should receive 3-4 meals a day of this to start. Once the puppies have checked it out, walked in it, and have eaten some, the dam can be allowed to finish it and clean the puppies off. Each week, increase the amount of food, decrease the amount of the milk replacer and water that is added, and the time of blenderizing, so by 7 weeks, the puppies are eating dry food.

Once they are on dry food, it may be left in with the puppies (when the dam is out of the box) or the meal times can continue. As the puppies eat more solid food, the ***** may be let away from the puppies for an even longer period of time. By the time they are 6½-7 weeks, they should be fully weaned from the dam's milk, eating dry food, and drinking water.

If the weaning is not rushed, the ***** will naturally start decreasing milk production as the puppies increase their intake of solid food. As the puppies begin eating the puppy mush at 4 weeks of age, start changing the *****'s diet back to adult food to also help her decrease milk production. Start by replacing 1/4 of her puppy food with adult food. Keep increasing the adult food and decreasing the puppy food until by the 8th week postpartum, she is eating only adult food. During the last week of weaning, the dam's food consumption should be less than 50% above the maintenance levels and declining toward maintenance levels.

Congratulations for your new dog! To educate the dog to obey instructions you ought to be steady. Always use the identical word or phrase and continually talk within the identical tone of voice. Speak for your common voice. Do no longer yell. Yelling frightens the dog and won't educate him/her a factor. You might feel that it does, due to the fact simply as an instance say the dog has performed some thing that he/she is not meant to do and also you turn out to be pissed off with Puppy and also you yell "No". The dog will transfer clear of you and you may also feel that you've taught him/her some thing and this may not occur once more. Well, you could be part correct. You have taught the dog some thing through yelling at her/him and that's to be terrified of you due to the fact the dog may not appreciate why you are yelling. Please talk in a common voice or a delicate voice while you talk to the dog. In order to educate the dog the command "No" first determined what the dog can do and what the dog is not meant to do. Some of that is visible to you and your household. Some might not be in case you have kids similar to you do not wish the dog at the furnishings due to the fact it (the furnishings) gets soiled and it'll get puppy hair. After you identify together with your household what's O.K. for the dog to do and what isn't O.K., then everybody will have to use the identical phrase or phrases to educate the dog. Puppys be taught through repetition. Just preserve at it and beautiful quickly you're going to have a first-class good behaved dog. Also, please don't hit the dog--in spite of a rolled up newspaper. People say that should you do that the dog or the puppy is not going to partner it with you however this isn't actual. The dog can see who's keeping that newspaper. If you wish to field the dog you will have to no longer hit or yell. I had a dog that I crate expert and while she could no longer obey me after in many instances, then I could positioned her in her crate for what's known as a "day trip." I could no longer positioned her within the crate after which positioned her in a room through herself--she could have felt deserted. Instead I positioned the crate within the room with me and I sat and talked to her till she calmed down after which I instantly permit her out. You might do this. As to educating the dog to not chunk, and to not bark-- puppys bark--that is common however to educate her to quit barking, simply talk for your common voice and inform her "No" or "Be particularly" or "Hush" or some thing like that. As a ways as instructor her to not chunk, first be definite that the individual isn't teasing the puppy. Biting is among the approaches that puppies and puppys have of shielding themselves. If the individual had no longer teased the dog, simply talk for your common voice to the dog and inform him/her "No" or "The postman is our pal" or some thing alongside those traces. This will take awhile, however puppies are intelligent. Keep at it as I stated previous and beautiful quickly you're going to have a good-mannered dog. I close to neglected the final aspect of your query. Since the dog is white a few names possibly Snowball Frosty (male) Also you will have to make a record of names that you just like and names that swimsuit the dog. Take a couple of days and watch the dog and you're going to observe the dog's persona and you may also wish to make a reputation from a attribute that he/she has. For example, I had a combined breed terrier. The identify she had while I first acquired her was once thoroughly beside the point. I made a record of names that I preferred and I watched the dog and I spotted that she walked like a girl and held her head identical to a girl and so my new dog grew to be Lady.

"A mother knows best!"
She knows when it's time for her brood to be independent.
As long as they are able to feed on their own, then it's their time to do so. As you can see she is still attracted to them as her own charges but like a mother he knows when to push them out into the world.
