I believe you have reason to call your doctor. Look at the list of reasons to call a doctor after giving birth, take note to the one with *** in front...

You should call your physician, midwife or other health care provider immediately if any of the following occur:
Chills or Fever of 101 degrees F or greater.
Difficulty or pain while urinating, or blood present in urine.
Blurred vision, headaches or dizziness.
Pain or excessive swelling around the site where your IV was placed.
Flu-like symptoms with soreness, pain or red streaks appearing on the breasts.
Persistent abdominal pain.
Prolonged pain or itching of the perineum.
***Heavy or bright red bleeding (generally if you must change a soaked pad every 1-2 hours) with or without clots.
Pain in the chest, legs or feet.
Any sudden drainage from an episiotomy or c-section incision.
Vomiting.
Foul-smelling discharge.
Excessive crying, frustration and anger or feeling overwhelmed and unable to care for yourself or your child.

Another site says...

No it is not normal to still be bleeding and having clots a month after childbirth. Your loss by now should be just a creamy dicharge if anything at all.

Please go and see your doctor as you may have a piece of placenta left behind

It can be normal yes. My step mom said she bled for about 8 weeks, which is a little much. But think about it this way, you stored it up for 9 months, so it's almost like you are making up for 9 months of missed periods and so then technially 9 weekswould be normal. Most average I think 3-6 weeks. I think I bled only 2 weeks, but I had c-section with both so that limits the amount of blood. If you feel that it's not normal for you, you should know your body, it could mean that you are doing too much. Being too active. But I wouldn't worry. I clot even with a regular period some people do. It can take a few months for you to get back to normal your body has been through a big deal. But if you are concerned do talk to your doctor. if you are feeling extra weak or dizzy or getting fetigue than you should for sure ask your doctor that would be a sign that you are loosing more blood than you should be. Our body produces blood every day so as long as you aren't loosing more than you are producing you'll be fine. But as I Said if you are worried talk to you doctor. Some women do need a little help getting cleaned out. Congrats on your two week old.

Unfortunately, yes. Lots of women don't know about this. It's considered normal to bleed for 4-6 weeks. Clotting is also normal, b/c your utterus is completely cleaning itself out from pregnancy, so it's much heavier than a normal period. My doctor said to call if I went through more than a pad an hour!

In my experience, though, it was 6 weeks of heavy bleeding and it didn't completely stop for almost 3 months. I know other women who went that long, too. Yep, it's like the worst, longest period of your life.

When I was discharged from the hospital I was told clots were normal, unless they were about the size of a fist. Gross huh! Double check with your doctor but my guess is your fine. I think anyone would run to the ER anyhow if something that big passed through.

I had my son via c section. After his birth I had very heavy bleading for two weeks. It would get lighter and then it would come back full force. I had clots the whole entire month that I blead. My doctor said that its ok. He told me to cal lhim if i had egg size clots, or saturated a pad an hour for more than one hour. There were times that I did saturate a pad in an hour, but it never happened for more than one-two hours. When in doubt call you doctor, they dont mind, or call the office and ask the nurse. You can aldo call the hospital you deliverd at and ask one of the unit nurses. Good luck and congrats on your new bundle..

Every woman is different. Listen to your instincts, if your worried go see your doctor. But you could bleed for up to 6 weeks. I was told with after my 2 girls that a blood clot should not be bigger than a loonie(canadian).

Everyone is different but after 2 weeks the bleeding should be slowed. I don't really remember seeing any clots after my kids so I would call your doctor to be safe.

NOOOO!!! You should call your doctor immediately. I gave birth 2 weeks ago, also. I was given express instructions to return to the hospital if I passed ANY clots at ALL.

Yes. Your ob/gyn should have discussed this with you after you gave birth. Small clots are normal but if you are seeing a lot of clots and they look very big to you (larger then your fist) you should call your ob/gyn and discuss it.
