Nerds and women?

Not here to judge, but why is it that women don't like nerds? As one myself, I'm not bad looking,but if women find out what I like they would probely run to the hills.

I love sci-fi, I love my MMORG game - DAoC (because being a nerd i can only have one like some strange clan allegiance), I'd rather stay in reading a good book or watching buffy/ST/doctor who re-runs than going out and getting plastered. I have a website, find HTML strangley interesting and studied sociology at Uni. On top of all that i work in a library where the rest of the staff call me the nerdy one. I'm also female.

Why do you assume that only men are nerds? I hate that show beauty and the geek... not that i've ever watched it - i wouldnt give it the veiwing figures - but after seeing the ad all i could think was Noooo! The bimbos are treading on my turf! :))

dont be so bothered about it, you like what you like. if people dont like it or use it as a reason to run a mile they arent worth it anyway.

If you check into it you will find out that all those glamorous models end up hooking up with nerds who are usually wealthy and liveing the highlife but at the current time the women don't realize it and go for the jocks and the bad boys who later on turn to sh*t. Just be patient and enjoy the current time because it will get better

Not all women. Be more specific, what stuff do you like? And how old are you? It just might be that the women in your age group are still quite immature and aren't really sure what they want. Most of my friends prefer the uniquie, quirky, unusual "nerds". As you get older, you realize that watching some jock do another beer bong and throw up out the window of your car later that night......really isn't all that fun and stimulating. Most women with a brain, want a man with a brain as well.

dont listen to them nerds as you said always well not always mostly win in the long run marrying the girl ;) i personally wouldnt judge anyone for what they like or do as long as they have respect for others as well and a great personality and easy to get along. What most women or girls some thing but lol women sound older :) most of us are intimitated by smarter guys we dont ok well most of us dont like feeling that we need you as a men and if you mean nerd as in what you like to do and are into not nessessarly being smart well then it really shouldnt matter just look for someone that likes smilar things as you do

Well its not that women don't like "nerds" its that the stereotypical nerd is more shy and awkward around beautiful women. Just be confident in yourself and don't fear rejection. Its not about money, where you work, what your interests are, its about confidence. Dont know if that helps at all but just be yourself and be confident and you can meet anyone you want.

I don't have a problem with nerds.. I actually like them because they can help you out in lots of things... But i think that oter women don't like them because of the stereotypes that comes with being a "NERD."

Well I think that you should just compare the similarities, and you should be okay...Everyone has different taste, so don't get upset when a girl doesn't want to act like she is on the same level as you.
