Does anyone else get hungry quickly if they eat cereal for breakfast? I eat breakfast at 6am and by 9am my stomach won't stop growling and I feel like I haven't eaten in days.

If you eat a sugary cereal that could be the reason. You might try oatmeal. It also sounds like you need a little more protein in your breakfast.

It's because your stomach and system digest the first food of the day more quickly to store/burn energy for the day, therefore making that first meal of the day tend to 'disappear' more quickly, especially when it's cereal because there are not as many calories and carbohydrates to it. A more hearty meal will seem to 'stick to your ribs' a little longer because it takes longer to digest and store it's protein.

I used to, when I ate a lighter cereal. Now I eat Spoon sized shredded wheat and it keeps me full until almost lunch time. It is a heavy cereal and seems to do the trick.
