I've done that too. One time some idiot cut me off on a highway where there was construction up ahead and his lane was ending - and there had been signs for miles indicating this and saying "Do Not Pass," etc, but he deliberately speeds up purely to cut me off for the hell of it, and he's barely even able to wedge himself in between me and the car in front of me. This naturally pissed me off but I overreacted big time. As soon as the road opened back up I cut him off, then kept darting in front of him every time he switched lanes. I was being really reckless and stupid and I totally would've deserved to get pulled over if some pigs had been around. Then finally we come to a light, and he pulls up next to me and challenges me to pull off and fight him...lol. It was some stupid redneck in a pickup. Needless to say I didn't go that far, but I was still extremely pissed and felt like I wanted some kind of "resolution." I actually kept thinking "Why didn't I do it?" the whole way home, although later I realized that the whole thing was insane.

In conclusion I have no advice...lol. Except that we just shouldn't allow stupid crap to get to us, even if people are just being pure punkasses and really NEED to be taught a lesson.

I have been the same way since I got my license. No one knows how to drive or follow the rules of the road- especially in NJ. I get mad each time I get behind the wheel. That is, until 3 weeks ago when some lady crossed the line and hit me head on. My truck was totalled and we both went to the ER, but thankfully we were okay. I drive more cautiously and less angrily now, knowing that at any time, if we are not careful and totally aware, anything can happen.

Letting go of anger can be hard. I ahve that problem at home with home type issues. I ahve mellowed a bit over the years and have come to the conculsion that things will either get done or they won't. Kind of a Yoda type advice "Do or do not there is no try". When it comes to anger behind the wheel ther is NO place for it. We are all going to get to our destiniation and does it really matter if the car in front of you arrives 30 seconds before you do??? I try to think of my family. I may not embrace everything that life had to thow at me but I would hate for my kids and husband to have to indentify my remains in a bloody heap just becaus I couldn't stand to be cut off.

WWJD? I don't always embrace slogans like this one but I have to ask would Jesus have road rage?
I have no answer but I stop and think about it.
