do you think its wise? america has an arsenal of weapons, why do they insist on something which causes mutations and sways international opinion against them?

the UN has condemned the action and DU is officially recognised as a chemical weapon, so why do it?

no, it is not wise at all.
during bombing of Serbia 1999
they also used depleted uranium,
and we still feel consequences.
I am strongly AGAINST!!
but knowing America or US
they find it amusing, until someone try it on them.
As we can see only USA is allowed to have nuclear weapons,
or weapon off mass destruction,
and they think of them-self like they are in charge.WRONG
what goes around comes around

These are weapons or munitions from the cold war era. the makers of these weapons were contracted upon the specifications of the Gov and as you know these type of contracts are subject to many considerations beyond the knowledge and reach of the majority. I am sure that this will continue since it uses scraped uranium which they have a problem of disposing of. The word insist is a trend in a modality of choice but here it is a requirement not a choice. DU or Depleted Uranium is used in several military munitions and armours due to its resistive characteristics this makes its use more and more needed and from that point they use it so it is a good way for weaponry making and fine penetrating munitions.

Depleted uranium is a heavy metal, the heaver the round the more kinetic energy it has when it hits its target.Or the more damage it dose. The rounds were meant to chew through tank armor, why there being used agents pickups and delivery trucks?
Well if your sitting in a hole waiting for who knows what to come down the rode ya load-up with the best ya got!
As for why is the US in Iraq (a much better question) I have no idea, We have a president that would rather shoot than talk to any one.A president who has decided to attack because someone MIGHT someday attack the U.S.

We only use it on armored targets. So I would imagine such rounds haven't been used since the defeat of the iraqi army. As to why we would use such rounds in the 1st place it's simple they work quite well in killing tanks. while there are hollow charge warhead weapons that do a good job killing tanks they can be countered by using explosive armor which will deflect a hollow charge warhead with a explosive charge on the tanks hull this explodes toward the warhead and does no harm to the tank. A DU round will go through such armor and in fact most any armor out there. PS we are not the only country that uses them all the big 5 on the security council has them as well as Israel and soon countries like india and pakistan.

Depleted Uranium ammunition is the most powerful anti-tank weapon in the world today. Iraq prior to the U.S. invasion has a vast armored force and with this weapon in the U.S. arsenal, it could easily devastate Iraqi armor. Unfortunately, it poses a health risk to servicemen.

The Government constantly denies that DU causes any problems. It is a very effective weapon, more powerful than other weapons, and the reason for using it is that they don't care at all about human life, American or otherwise.

The uranium works just like the cooper IUD that Iraquies are using. It super heats as it leaves the gun melts thourgh any metal the cools and shatters inside takes. Armor pearcing without it the bullets would just bounce off.

confident, i think of maximum all of us is conscious if it. It replaced right into a difficulty in the process the 1st Gulf conflict. the subject is that it creates uranium metallic airborne dirt and mud it is extremely poisonous. Heavy metallic poisoning is a bad ingredient, and uranium is somewhat certainly one of the worst metals. It demands basically miniscule quantities to create problems. unlike lead, uranium isn't excreted by using the physique so as quickly as you have been tormented by using it it remains.

Don't know where you are fabricating this from, but your are mis-informed.

DU is completely unauthorized and has been since the invasion. There is nothing our forces couldn't beat with standard rounds, so there was no reason to use DU. The enviornment is always factored which immediately killed the use of DU to begin with.

Get your facts straight.

Wilson, I don't listen to Conspiracy drivel. Get a life and a brain. Maybe even defend a nation...until you can step, shut up.

We are using it because people like Q-burt are all over the US and dont speak out about it. So many in our country are ingorant. but Q-burt has no idea what he is talking about. If you dont think were using it, watch the documentary. It is not a well kept secret, only american media ignores these things.
