Ask the preacher if you can give a testimonial and then tell the truth and let them know how you really are and wish they would treat eachother better than to pass rumours about anyone rather than getting the truth for themselves.

I know its hard i have been on the recieving end of rumours and its only people who have nothing in their lives who enjoy bringing people down to their level...Silence is normally the only answer in these cases make it look like it doesnt bother you and im sure they will find someone else to pick on.
