I've recently lost 120lbs. I want to push it for 30 more. I did it all on my own, no surgery, no extreme/fad diets, no pills.... just changing my attitude and life style. I really want to avoid surgery, even if it means taking an extra year or so to tighten and tweak. Be it with lotions, crunches, hard core cardio and weight training, etc., but I'm just not sure if my goal is realistic. If absolutely necessary, Lipo after making a valiant, hard core effort sounds a lot better to me than throwing in the towel so close to the finish line, let alone the 10 grand. I did this all by myself and really want to keep that statement as close to truth as possible. Is there anything I can do, or is surgery inevitable?

Start using lotions now, while you continue to lose weight. You can use things like pure cocoa butter for stretch marks, and avoiding stretch marks, there are topical skin firming treatments like l'oreal sublime slim skin tightening and anti-cellulite cream which works great as long as you continue to use it.
Most likely, anything you start using now, you will have to continue to use to experience results. I would also take baths soaking in treatments of vitamin E, caffeine, and seaweed. You will probably still have some extra skin but toning will help. Don't let it get you down ever, losing weight should be for health reasons, not to expect to look better! Although looking better comes with it, sometimes we can't control it altogether. It's great that you are doing it by yourself, I'm scared to ask all of the other people strutting around on television and in magazines whats even real on them.. most likely they have had some surgery

Unfortunately when you lose such a dramatic amount of weight, you're going to have a good bit of extra skin. The only way to combat some of it would have been continual toning throughout your weight loss process. As you continue lose weight, you should tone (but make sure you NEED to lose it really because 120 is already ALOT). Lipo would probably not be a prime choice of surgery though, because you've obviously worked to lose fat already which is what Lipo is-just removal of fat. You would potentially need actual skin removal, like a tummy tuck. Just an FYI, many insurance companies will cover such cosmetic surgery because of the nature of it--the fact that you lost so much weight.

No. Don't go the way of surgery if you can. You've listed other ways, they all work. Keep at it.

Why do you want to give up now that you're so close to your goal? Get a support group to cheer you on. It helps a lot.

And you'll still have your money. Save it to give yourself a big treat. I'm sure you can do it.

And CONGRATS!!!

PS: My God! You're beautiful! And what a difference! You go, girl!

Go to this website. Look for the product Aminogen. It tightens your skin as you lose weight. There are lotions on there too. Good Luck

Wow! Way to go. How did you do it? Email me jenkaufman73@aol.com and let me know some of your ideas on how you done it.
As far as losing the skin, I think the younger you are the easier it is to tone it up. But if your older then probably going to need some surgical help. Seriously email me please.
