Only the State should have the so-called monopoly of violence. Abolish the right to bear arms if you don´t need them (for instance, if you want to become a hunter and need a license). In a civilized society you should be able to rely on police protection and not just on the right of self defense.

I believe everyone going into school should have to go through metal detectors just like going into a courthouse. After school has begun they also need to put the school on lockdown, so no one can enter. Maybe they need to give everyone that needs to be in that school a pass and put some kind of entry system in. All others would be forced to use an intercom system and then be searched before entering the school.

regrettably, colleges are no longer equipped for protection. in case you lock quite everyone up interior, you're locking in a school shooter. in case you lock quite everyone out, you're locking out help. in case you go away each and every thing unlocked, you're inviting intruders. With strict confidentiality regulations, you're putting violent and mentally unwell scholars in with each and every of the others, and no person is unquestionably-known with they're there; or in case you do know they're there, you would be fired for speaking approximately it. many previous colleges are equipped with banks of domicile windows to the exterior. Many new colleges haven't any domicile windows and few doors, so break out is complicated. have self belief it or no longer, there are nonetheless 1000's of school rooms without telephones in them. you could no longer completely fence in a school simply by fact there are such numerous people who could desire to come and bypass all day long. Gun regulations are no longer consistent in all states. Conservative politicians and the NRA are lifeless set against further controls that could desire to bring about consistent regulations in all states. i replace right into a instructor for 30 years. i presumed approximately this plenty. I haven't any concept the way it is going to ever be stopped. unhappy.

Bring power and God back to the schools and school systems. School property belongs to the school. Behavior, if bad, can be punished. It is a learning institution where teachers and staff deserve and demand respect at all times. Back to the "board of education", suspension, repeating a failed grade. No one was murdered by monsters, not a loving kind man but monsters during those days.
