There are no gods.

If you look at the nature of belief, there is ample evidence that demonstrates why people would want to believe in a god. There are a lot of emotional arguments that people use to convince themselves and others that gods exist, which are based on insecurities that most people have. People have been emotional animals far longer than rational ones.

Then there is also historical evidence. If you look at the specific gods of each religion, they all have a history. That history shows how those gods came from the cultures in which they were invented, and how they didn't exist prior to that. There is also evidence in the various "holy" texts they use which demonstrates that they came from the society the writers lived in, not a divine source.

And there is a real lack of evidence for the existence of any of those gods. The definition of "god", itself, is usually too vague to be able to say what, exactly, is claimed to exist.

This, combined, demonstrates fairly clearly that no gods actually exist. While in the strictest sense, anything at all is possible, in this case there is just no evidence of any god's reality.

Nothing has been proven....so any truth will only ever be a persons truth....it cannot be universal truth because God existing is not a fact. God not existing is also not a fact. So all you will get are people's opinions. I like to keep an open mind. I find peace in the thought that my spiritual self will go on into the next world...whether it is a Godly thing I dont know, but I am pretty open to there being a supreme being. I only say this because I have read personal accounts of near death experiences...some are peaceful and wonderful, some are pretty horrific...but very few people say there is nothing. If there was nothing more than the here and the now, then I woud have real worries about the meaning of my life. If this life was not a spiritual journey, eg, learning about yourself, becoming strong in the face of adversity, striving to be happy, then I would have married a rich man regardless of whether I loved him or not, because if this life is all there is I may as well enjoy the material gains marrying a rich man would bring. Why bother getting a job if our only purpose in life is to be born and to die...There has got to be something more, but because nothing has been proven or disproven then I am choosing to believe that there is a life after this one. If there is a God I dont know, but I can certainly understand why it is good to believe that God exists.

The truth is that asking this question here will not bring you any closer to the truth than you were before. My advice is to ponder what each of these things would mean and pick the one that seems right to you. You can pick and re-pick as many times as you want, but you can only choose for yourself. I choose to believe in God because I think the world makes more sense with God than without. That doesn't mean that I agree with everything that everyone says about God, because other people don't know any more about the matter than I do. No one here or anywhere can make your choice for you. Well, unless you let them.

The truth is that there is no evidence or proofs of a God. Further truths find contradictions, and logical flaws in every religious text up to date.

I do not agree with the God concept. I would say truth is not an absolute in the scenario because it is impossible for me to prove there is no God. It is also impossible for me to prove there is no Thor. It is just very likely that there is not one, and all evidence discredits the defined ones.

MEETING GOD

MEMORY VERSE: In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth (Genesis 1:1).

The first sentence in the Bible is a magnificent introduction to Almighty God. With one glance, we learn that there is one God, who is eternal, all powerful, and the Creator of the universe. Commenting on Genesis 1:1, F. B. Meyer said: "With the pen of unerring truth the Spirit of Inspiration writes God's name on all things."

Towering high above all the theories of man, the Bible presents the only rational answer to the beginning of things. All other explanations of the reason for being must either ask the question: "What came before that?" or settle for belief in an eternal impersonal universe. In contrast, the inspired writer simply takes us back beyond the beginning of all things and explains that God has always existed. Captivated by this tremendous truth, the psalmist wrote: LORD, thou hast been our dwelling place in all generations. Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God (Psalm 90:1,2).

Equally thrilling is the revelation that God is able to create by the power of His Word. "Let there be light," He said. And there was light. The rest of creation, apart from that of man, was simply spoken into existence.

The vastness of God's creation lets us know that He is a God of unlimited power. Its minuteness reveals that He cares. Keeping the planets in their courses will be His concern today, as will a single teardrop that falls from your eye.

God is the truth. How would you be able to explain the existence of the universe?

Ok,,If God does not exist's then what is right and what is wrong?
If it is a matter of opinion, who's?
if it is decided by society, How?
take both questions all the way ack to the beginning of human history and answer.
If it is said that you cannot legislate morality, then I ask, Is murder against the Law? you will answer, of course it is, I will then answer: every law on the books is a legislation in morality, you just legislated morality, the only difference is who's morality will you legislate.

You are going to get a lot of answers to this one. Let me just say that no one here can tell you for sure. They have their own beliefs about it, but that is all that it is their opinions. The only ones that know are dead and gone and they aren't telling. You have to make up your own mind. Good luck to you on that journey. Blessed Be with harm to none in your endeavors.
