Sometimes I know in advance, like when I'm going out on a date with a married man. So, wouldn't it be better if I just asked for forgiveness in advance rather than waiting until afterwards. It just seems silly to wait until afterwards and pretend like I didn't know it was going to happen. Duh!

There is no point in praying at all. You pray for a sin you regret or at the time just didn't realize was wrong. But you know you are going to sin so what are you praying for. You can't expect to be forgiven for something you know FULL & WELL is wrong. If that where the case then everyone would run around sinning and tinking there was nothing wrong with it beacause they where going to ask for forgivness later.

If you know something is sin... then don't do it!

"Be ye perfect, just as your Father in Heaven is perfect".

What price will you trade your treasures in heaven? The price for a one night stand and a cup of coffee? Would you be willing to exchange a room full of gold for a handful of dryer lint? A Rolls Royce for cobwebs? Your very eyes for a comic book found in the trash? To do so is folly.

If you know something is sin, then do not do it. If sin should enter your life, it should only be by accident, unintentional slippage into what was once you, a fleeting thought, or other mishap. But to choose to willingly enter sin... that is apostacy and iniquity. Your salvation is in question, and it would do you well to spend a lot of time in prayer, and in understanding what the concept of "repentance" is.

It is not the act of saying sorry. It is the truth of being sorry, and changing your ways.

Go read Jonah. Ninevah was indeed repentant. Jonah was not. Figure out who you are now, and who you'd like to be like.

If you know you are going to do the sin then you don't feel you have done or are going to be doing anything wrong. Forgiveness is given to anyone who truly wants it. You don't want forgiveness, you want absolution for the rest of your life. Not going to happen. You will be held accountable for everything you have done. You know you are doing wrong and about to do wrong by dating a married man, so why do it? If it gets out you dated a man you know is married you will be the one to look like a tramp for "leading him into temptation". He's not yours, so leave him alone..

If you continue lto pray in advance before a sin, definetely you'll always find yourself in more terrible sin because it had been preplanned by you. You have thought about it and you believe you can go ahead and do it. its bad rather you should ask for forgiveness only if you get into a sin by mistake.

I hope you are not being serious...You cant knowingly sin and then repent. being a christian is a lifestyle, a decision that one makes to live for Christ. You seem to be saying you are deliberately turning away from Christ. When one turns from Christ ( our sacrifice for our sins) "there remaineth no more a sacrifice for sins. "Willful sin" involves , " a certain fearful expectation of judgment" (Heb. 10:27) In other words, he knows he is wrong and will be eternally lost, but continues to sin anyway. All this is a deliberate lifestyle of sin for one who knows better. This is not just sin this is apostasy. Deliberately forsaking Christ and His church ( Heb 10:25)

Praying in advance or afterwards doesnt matter . What matters is that the prayer should be right from your heart not only on your tounge. that matters the most

If you know it is a sin, why would you want to do it? I think the issue of salvation would be in question. The Bible even warns us not to even look like we are doing something wrong.

I prefer the sociopaths prayer...
Dear God lead me not into temptation, but lets just skip to the part where I succumb to it, so I can go home and pray for forgiveness later, when I'm feeling guilty.

Why do you even ask that question .... it is obvious from this and other questions that you have already turned your face from God.

Your heart is obviously blackened with your sin and God can't see you anymore anyway. I can tell from your previous questions that you are cynical and sarcstic ... and that is such an ugly thing.
