Nautical maps are not detailed enough.

What I am looking for is features in the sea/river estuaries that would be godd prospective fishing spots.

I know it sounds extreme, but I just want to try. ^_^

I think it would be a lot safer to check the area out with the local sea angling club, in case there are quicksand areas or serious currents.
Anglers' Tackle shop would have a contact number. Citizens Advice Bureau, Volunteer Bureau, Telephone Directory, Police Station, or Council Office might tell you how to contact a local club, if no joy with the shop.
Hope you catch some good ones!.

Good topographical maps would show the topography underwater.
Look in outdoor/camping/hiking shops.

Doesn't exist in that sort of detail. Best thing you could do is ask a local scuba diver to have a look for you!

You need contour maps.
