Are virgins really holy people?

I DON'T KNOW ABOUT YOUR COUNTRY BUT I CAN SAY IN INDIA MORE THAN 99.9999% ARE VIRGINS.YOU CAN NOT CLUB VIRGINITY WITH HOLINESS AS THEY ARE DIFFERENT TERMS.

Being a virgin doesn't make one holy, but holy people will try to remain virgins until marriage. And yes, people remain virginal until marriage all the time (I personally know many & was one myself until I married a year ago--& we have a phenomenal sex life :) ).

Virgins are smart. They realize that to sleep with a person today, they are actually sleeping with the many others that thier partner has been with before them. So they are not alone in that bed with them. They also are subject to all the diseases that those others have been exposed to, just like a domino effect. Virgins are not holy, just care about themselves and respect themsleves. And this referrs to men who are virgins and not only women. God bless them for abstaining today. There are more people with aids and do not know it, then there are who know they have it.

My 23yr old daughter is a virgin and an atheist. She's has enough self respect to not want to share herself with anyone who doesn't deserve her. She's college educated, smart, funny, beautiful and motivated. And she's a nice person with high standards of morality and ethics.
I don't know alot of "holy" people who can say that.

Of course virgins are holy people - they have holes. They may not be using them, but they have them - so, yes, they are holy.

I was gratified to read all the YES comments here.
I know at least one girl who is 24 and virgin.
It's sad that many religious people think they can be sexually active and still be religious. I certainly hope those who take this liberal stand take it across the board for all liberal religious activities!

I've had two. My late wife was a virgin when I married her. That was not great. It turned out, after we married, that she didn't like sex much. I do. My current girlfriend was virgin when I met her. She actually likes sex, though, now that I've introduced her to it. BTW, both of them were over 25 years old when I met them.
In any case, viginity is just a flap of skin. It's not really that big a deal. I would not recommend marrying a virgin.

They are virigins for reasons they choose.
