If you are not good at that sort of thing... then dont do it. Just be yourself.
I am terrible at the chat up stuff, but I havent had any problems just introducing myself and starting a conversation that way.
I suppose confidence is the big thing here... regardless of the chat up line you choose to use.

Noooooo chat up lines! Trust me girls compare them in bathrooms and laugh their as.ses off at the expense of some poor guy who is under the impression that he is extremely smooth.. Just walk up to a girl, don't be too eager but let her know ur into her, say Hey, can I buy u a drink? Thaz it.

Just walk up and seriously say are you single . Pick up lines dont work if they are corney and stupid . Talk for a while then get her number say give your number and if your lucky i might give you a call . Be assertive and not too nice and also make it look like shes picking you up . Also tease her and be a bit mean with some funnyness but dont be a dork .

Pick up lines are tacky. And i HATE when guys come up to you (when you're out) and just start talking. Heres what you should do, if you're at a bar...ask her to play pool, darts, or for a drink. If she accepts...she usually wants to talk to you...if she doesn't then don't persue. For chat...try to be funny, girls love a sense of humor.

Dont use any! They're rarely funny, we've usually heard them a million times before and they seem kinda lame.
Just use conversation, even if it's a little white lie such as "oh, hey, were you in "blahdeblah bar" the other weekend?". If she's interested she'll engage in conversation.

Start with a smile (not a cheesy one...a real one)....dont invade personal space...and try not to rely on dutch courage to much...stinking of booze, vomiting on the object of yer affection and tripping up halfway across a crowded bar is a sure way to crash and burn!
