No religion is not a form of mind control....
Just ask yourself this question: is there anyone "force" you to join certain religion .... I believe it is your belief and faith that bring you to believe in a religion.
You can choose not to believe and no one will stop you.
We Buddhist don't "force" people to believe in Buddha teaching but explore...till a point you are praise with his teaching and believe in him. Moreover Buddhism is a teaching and it is not a religion to me.

No. It has more to do with free thinking than with mind control. This is exemplified in the fact that if you ask a question of 10 different religious people (even attending the same church/temple/synagogue), and the chances are you'll get 10 different answers (unless it has to do with the most basic principles of that religion).

Religion is a man-made construction.
God provided a basis for faith. Man has turned that into the potentially corruption it has become.
If you are asking about all of the various "religions" ... it is a man-made mind control. This is not of God's design.

Absolutely ,Where else can you get people to believe something is real when it doesn`t exist.Where else can you get others to believe that the god is inside of them ?
why if God is all powerful and created everything on earth does he need what Man invented and makes -- MONEY ????
Why do the followers take every word in the bible as truth when Science is proving different things everyday and they refuse to accept.

What else do you falsely believe?
Jesus, the basis of Christianity? .
If Jesus died, he could NOT have been God.
Can Gods die?
If Jesus 'died' on Friday and 'undied' on Sunday, what else besides Saturday was sacrificed?
