Being shy is not an exception and. Step out of your comfort zone so that the girl you'll be interested on will see that you're a confident man and capable of handling her not the other way around. You can try searching in bars or by joining organizations, and the like; but really, love is very unpredictable and just appears unexpectedly; so just be yourself and lessen your shyness. Being shy is not going to get you a nice girl. You have to have the pluck to go and chat up a girl. A good place is at concerts and sports centers. You have to be casual and confident. Dont use lines that you picked up from movies. It looks really cheap and boring.

it's funny, and can be cute depending on who the girl is. I've seen stupid for real, when I was on holiday I was sitting at a bar outside watching the football, anyway my friend was walking into the bar and there were two entrances, but one was closed (with a glass door) and my friend walked right into it, luckily there were only 2 people who saw it, but still, I felt like crying for her.
