Traveling from Bend Oregon to Narita next weekend. Would I have to pay extra for a bicycle in a box (unassembled)? If so, how much? It would be my second piece of luggage but I imagine it would be considered oversized baggage.
Thanks in advance.

Depends on weight in all honesty. No way for anyone to tell you this until you get to the airport. It is possible that it will be considered over sized baggage.

I think you are okay, as long as the box is less than 50 pounds and you can consider it as one of your pieces of luggage, as you are only allowed two pieces of luggage and one carryon on a Northwest Flight. Anything more than that, and there will be an extra fee. I think the fee for extra piece of luggage is 25 dollars US.

Depends on how much your other luggage weighs.

If you are still under weight allowances it shouldn't cost you anything
