I just read an article where the FBI stated that they could do nothing to Foley until they have evidence that is "more than just words".
My question is why are the authorities able to arrest the men on those To Catch a Predator shows (on NBC) when those men were not actually talking to minors, only adults posing as such, but Foley sends disgusting messages to actual kids and the FBI can do nothing? Perhaps someone with an understanding of the law can help me out with this one? Thanks.

Sending disgusting messages to young men, at the age of 16 they are age of consent in most states, isn't a crime. It is reprehensible behavior and upsetting. In some form or other, there will be a suit for sexual harassment, I'm sure.
In the meantime, it's great he was exposed, great he's resigned and excellent he's left his party spinning in the mud.

You're wrong. I just heard yesterday that those "To Catch a Predator" shows they are unable to hold the guys for lack of evidence. There has to be a crime committed. I am not trying to defend Foley, but he has to have committed a crime.

Oh, You read the emails? so you know what the content was, great, give me the link so I can be as informed as you, to debate the subject, those e-mails are definitely sick but until its proof they are from foley, things can be doctored, until formal charges are found, innocent until proven sick , i mean guilty.......
