its my left top molar.

Anyone else have it done?

I had all four wisdom teeth pulled at once with an oral surgeon.
It wasn't scary at all.
Once I was out, I was out and didn't feel a thing! No needles, no pressure of him pulling it out, nothing.
I think it actually helped in the long run. I was more relaxed so he could get in and get it done and over with without me fighting and protesting it. (I'm scared to death of dentists). And because I was out like a light, he didn't have any trouble getting them out.
I was a little sore, not really in pain, but sore. Especially when I tried to eat, which he told me to be careful when I did it.
Basic instructions afterward was; No using straws/smoking as the sucking on it can cause the socket to bleed. Nothing hot or cold until the Novocaine wore off. (I had to stick my finger in everything to test the temp of it). Rinse mouth after eating, snacks or meal.
He gave me pain meds, but I took an Advil and was fine, didn't even fill the script he gave me.
So, relax, and go in with a good attitude, or the best one you can muster and Good Luck. You shouldn't have any problems.

No pain. If you are having novacaine, the worst thing you feel is a pinch when a needle is injected in your mouth.
If you are having general anesthetic, the worst you feel is a pinch when a needle is injected into your arm.
There is usually no pain during recovery. But you will have to brush often and rinse often with mouth wash during the healing process, about one week. Otherwise, you get some really bad breath and an awful taste in your mouth.

Mostly It won't hurt, as they inject a medicine in that area which will make it Numb. Hence, you will not experience any pain. There maybe some discomfort while eating, which will vanish in 2 to 3 days.

Hi there,
I've had braces and they had to extract 4 molars all in all. Believe me, I know what it feels like! It is surely not pleasant, but it does not hurt at all.

In fact, the worst is the anesthesia and it is comparable to what you feel when you get a flu shot. (Not such a big deal, right?).

Just tell your dentist that you are afraid. Don't be shy. He(she) will be more careful.

Good luck!
