Think it depends on the mindset of the couple when they enter into the relationship.
If they have made the decision that it's for the long-term view of marriage and 'everlasting love', committment is vital.
If they want to gauge and see if the relationship would work out, I really don't think committment is the word here.

If there's no commitment in a relationship in terms of love, then it's not called a relationship at all. A commitmentless relationship is like playing a game, only both of you will lose and get hurt. Good luck!

nope because in every relationship there is always a commitment, if there isn't its not a relationship at all, because for two individuals starting a relationship there must be a bond that binds them together to understand, care and love each other.. if there is no commitment your just playing without rule which is nonsense

Yes of course, sometimes it is the only sort either you or the girl can get. Great sex does not have to be between 'loving married people' altrhough a lot of the JC freaks and puritans on here will say it has to be

no cos then its not a relationship. A relationship is about building a bond together. What you are describing is a disgrace to the word relationship. Don't let anyone try that with you, sounds like he wants to have his cake and eat it

Its not worth it except if as two consenting adults, you agree to have a fling with all the terms and conditions. If you don't want the no-strings-attached approach which does not last, then you need commitment. Its what binds the two of you together. Period.

Yes a relationship should be what you want it to be and not what others think is right or wrong.
