I eat chili and hot sauce all the time. Hot sauce is wonderful on eggs or pasta. My hair never fell out. And my mom is the Sorceress of Spice, she eats spicy stuff on a lot of stuff. Her hair is so thick!

No, I don't think they make your hair fall out (I lost my hair long before I started eating chillis!)
They do make me sweat on the scalp, though, which ought to be a good thing, since it would tend to clean any clogged pores. Perhaps the myth arose because eating chillis would stimulate the scalp and any hair that was dead anyway is encouraged to fall out. Hair is in a constant process of dying and renewal, anyway. Normally we notice a few hairs on the brush or in the drain hole but if the scalp were stimulated to get rid of all the dead hair at once, it would look as though one was losing it!

Unless you have a sensitive stomach, chili sauce and hot sauce are fine in moderation. As for the pros...whenever you eat hot sauce or chili sauce it raises your metabolism causing your body to burn more calories.
I have never heard of anyone losing their hair from eating it, though.

Chilis and hot sauces have antibiotic properties, which is good. They do not affect your hair. If anything, they improve circulation, which may improve hairs' nutrition.
Best websites are on Yahoo's Wikipedia. You may find several, not just one.

This is personal experience...
If I eat something really chilli, with red chillies(raw or powered) my teeth are much much whiter than usual, I actually have used it as a last moment thing before parites, proms and sometime wedding receptions...

Chilli's raise your heartbeat, causing you to burn more calories than normal.
They do not cause you to lose your hair. My diet is very high in chilli's and my hair is still thick and full.

If they do then all of my Hungarian housemates, and everyone from Hungary, with their Paprika lusts, should be bald.
This is an urban myth, or an old wives tale. Don't pay attention!
