DO I JUST SCAN it, or what, the scanned documents dont work, is there a software for that?

Scan it. Save it and import it into your word processor.

You might even put it in a footer so it'd end up about the right place...

My supervisor signed a blank sheet of paper several times with a black ballpoint pen so we could select the best one.

I scanned it, cropped as close as I could, and saved it to a jpg.

When sending a large mailing, I insert, from file. Then, go to the directory which contains your jpgs and select it. Insert. Close.

Once in your file, let's assume Word, you may have to make some adjustment or formatting. Right-click the jpg and select "format picture." Set it for "in front of text." You may have to "play with it" for a bit until you get it lined up correctly.
