Yes, it is not advisable to use bottles of packaged water for further use. Please check under the bottle and if it is written PET with No.5 or above inside an inverted triangle such bottles can be safely re-used.Most of the packaged water bottles will bear nos.1 or 2 only!!!!!

Yes it is Dangerous to reuse the bottle of packeged drinking water. The bottle is normally made only for one time use. After that whenever you try use the bottle the chemicals from the bottle dissolves in the water & becomes dangerous. And when ever you store hot or warm water more chemicals dissolve. But if u want to use a bottle get pet bottles which are available in plastic shops which can be used many times.

Yes it is, without scaring people there is some kind of chemical within the bottle that keeps the bottled water clean. Bottles are only good for the drink purchased. Leaving any other water in reduces the chance of illness due to bacteria buildup in the bottle.

Yes, the material used for packaged water bottles are not for multible usage. If you want to use go for the food grade PET bottles

alright, i know it might be bad to reuse these bottles. also, coz they are plastic and it is harmful to store water in plastics (not sure why) so what is the solution to this? if not plastic bottles, then what?

I wouldn't due to the germs it acquired while drinking the first contents. I don't know how u could sterilize it without it melting.
