I was always a Heinz kind of girl, but have recently been tempted by the devil to trying Branston ketchup and it is soooo much nicer. So now I have a crisis of conscience. I feel I should be loyal to Heinz as this is what I was weaned on, but Branston is better - what think everyone else?

I loved Heinz ketchup until i tried Branston, I fell in love with it straight, but like you I felt guilty for even trying Branston.

I love Heinz ketchup so I haven't actually tried the Branston one. However, a few weeks ago I went to Kwik Save and they didn't have Heinz and I got Crosse and Blackwell ketchup instead. Mistake!!! It's nothing like as good as Heinz. I eventually bought some Heinz ketchup and now the C&B ketchup is sitting in the cupboard probably never to be used again!

Can I ask what is better about the Branston ketchup?

It's all a matter of personal taste (pardon the pun). I tried Branston and it's good but Heinz is still my favourite as I like originals, not imitations.

I know Branston Beans are nicer than Heinz but their spaghetti is woeful. It tastes like a cheap, supermarket brand.

The only way to decide this is have someone pour each Ketchup into seperate bowls and have you taste themwithout you know which is which. This is called a blind tasting. Look for taste and color and consistancy...WHAT DO YOU LIKE. This is all about you...Heinz Ketchup won't be too heartbroken if you switch brands.
