We don't have a dining room so we have no dining table out, we have one of those folding ones up the attic that gets brought out for Christmas and other occasion's, it was up against the wall in the kitchen and just got used more as a dumping ground, hence it was put up the attic as it was no use downstairs and in the way.

Looking at mine now. It has a hat on that I last wore in June or July, last nights left over curry sauce from mcduffs (not opened) Old photographs, a pen some mats, this morning mails! (all looks like bills it can wait) and some spare change. Basically its a junk table!

We don't dine!!!! I've got 5 children, and depending on the weeknight, a number of friends... it's more like a flat trough! When not taken up by frenzied munching.... it's covered in ironing, or washing, or paperwork, or tools, or anything other than a nice clean tablecloth and a vase of flowers.

We use it for displaying pork.
All different cuts of pork, we use the dinning room table to display them.
Enough pork to make you sick without ever eating it. Yes, we use our dining room table to display pork of all kinds. Why do you ask?
One disclaimer: On our dinning room table we display every cut of pork except pig lips. Do you know what the most disgusting cut of pork is, in butchery show-rooms today? It's pig lips.
We will never have pig-lips. What was you question again?

My ironing gets piled up on mine. You know I can't actually remember when we last ate at the dinning room table! Mmmmm!

Well, first of all, I don't have a dinning room table, I have a D-I-N-I-N-G room table. I dine rather than dinn. Actually, my table overflows with mail, make-up, and other various and sundry fun things. I dine on my coffee table.

At our last house, we only used it for storage. When we moved last year, we decided not to bring our dining set with us to make more room in the house. My son's playhouse is now in what should be the dining room. We eat picnic style every night that we eat at home.
Hey, it works for us.

I tend to have piles of clothes on it that I've just taken off radiators. Also quite useful for leaving bills on so my housemate sees them.
Actually eating at it doesn't really get a look in.

Ages ago, when I was in high school, I volunteered to have my biology lab partners over for a study session... We dissected a fetal pig on our dining table.
In my own home now, I use it for dust collecting :-s
