I can decorate my room for about £100. that just involves going to the likes of B& Q getting a tin of paint for the walls one for the ceiling! (dont have to be white for the ceiling either! you can also paint your furniture ie wardrobe chest of draws to match and change the handles for around £10) that will cost you about £20 depending on size of room. Then go out and buy a new duvet set (if you look in the sales you can usually get really good ones) theres another £15-£20. Then you go to these lil craft type shops and you can make your own art work for the walls, get some lil pieces to put on a shelf (spend around £30 on bits an bobs). you can then spend the extra on something special that will bring the room together. go get some voil and do up your windows or drape it from the ceiling over your bed! Mostly be artistic do the room how you want be adventurous and enjoy!!

Of course a fresh coat of paint always spruces up a room. Look for artwork at a second hand store, yard sales or estate sales, not just pictures but vases, candle holders and the like. An old window frame with the glass removed and replaced with mirror glass makes the room apprear bigger, and when placed opposite a real window and treated with the same curtains it gives you light as well as art. Be creative, leaf through magazines for inspiration, you'll be amazed at the idea's you can do for cheap, cheap, cheap. Have fun.

Go through the answers already received before this one and follow the one you like the most.
Here some hints for what to consider to find out how to achieve what.
- Is it a squareshaped or more a corridorlike room?
- Is there much daylight or not that much ?
- How is the view out through your window(s) ? Does it enjoy or bother you?
- Is it ground floor or 1st, 2nd floor?
- Is it quiet or noisy ?
- What do you like with that room and what makes you wish to change it?
- Which furniture and equipment you have do you like and which not?
Do you like - or dislike - the room more at daylight or at night with electric illumination?
- What do you need to have in that room and which ones of all your pieces do you want to expose and which ones would you like to hide as good as possible?
Which furniture do you need regular daily access to and which
to only occasionally?
What makes the room easyer to be kept clean?
Summary :
- Is it more your furniture, decoration or equipment you would like to change or does the room have qualities you do not like?
- Is it worth to invest in a 'cheap' short term make up or preferable to make a concept for a really satisfying outfit and to save money to realize the concept?
- What about a move?
Ask yourself these questions or the ones you start to ask yourself repeatedly. It's much more important than you may guess.

Some paint, a couple of throws, throw away lots of stuff you don't use anymore. You can also use freecycle to get rid of or find new furniture.
