What color of the shirt should I wear for a wake of a dead person? If it is a roman catholic religion?

there is no particular colour that should be worn as such....however i would recommend darker colours like navy, black, brown.....and stay away from anything bright as that would be considered as a lack of respect....

I would say some kind of dark or neutral color. Sorry but Hawaiian shirts are a big no-no for anything funeral related unless it's a funeral for Jimmy Buffet or Don Ho. And while we're on that subject no sandals,mandals, or whatever you wanna call the asinine things either. You're going to a funeral not a luau. You don't wanna know how many stupid stoners I've seen who think tevas go with a pair of khakis.

In this religion, the color of your shirt doesn't matter. It's only about being dressed up in a proper way, if you know what I mean. So the color is up to you.

Are you saying that dead persons have wakes? And that you are going to one?
Wear a light blue shirt.
When you get a chance before you go, read Finnegans Wake by James Joyce. That will give you some ideas, and how to behave and how to eat radishes.

standard business attire, but white shirt and dark trousers/coat, no colorful ties etc. As opposed to the wake of a live person, that would be hawaiian shirts :-)

Black is usually used for funerals but at a wake maybe something not too bright will be fine eg grey, brown, dark blue

White is the only appropriate colour, if you wear black you'll look like a spiv or someone from the mafia...unless you are of course!
