There are too many laws to list. The public are unaware of almost all of them. However ignorance of the law is no excuse.

All current legislation is in the public domain, which means that if you are going to do something you should check to see if it is legal first.

This is the idea, however everyone would spend more time looking at law books than actually doing things.

The rule of thumb is that if you think something is illegal it probably is. Note the word 'probably.'

So many members of the public form their own interpretation of the law that is often completely wrong, what we call "bar room lawyers" who have an opinion and think it is law.

This forum is a typical example. You can often tell who has had legal training by the way the answers are written.

The public must obey all laws, however that may not always be possible. This means that people often do break the law without knowing it. There are remedies though.

its not just the British public dude... its the same all over the world... Makes you often wonder with all these laws how many lawyers do actually know every one of them word for word... i guess its more of having the knowledge (and time to bother) looking for a specific one when something goes wrong but yea its disturbing how stupid little stuff can be breaking the law. And the law does not really protect the public does it? i mean how many people would take the risk when going up against a large corporation (or rich individual) for the fear of not being able to pay the lawyers fees if the decision went against them?

Too many to even go into, but even more if you take into account the police powers under the Public Order Act (whereby the police can decide what the offence is), and that does not even start to take into account the Terrorism legislation which has been passed. But there is one very important law, not to break it!

Ah, I cannot answer how many laws there are. There are many and then there would be local council bye-laws and other rules etc. etc.

The authorities don't TRICK people. There is no defence of IGNORANCE - although this would suggest that everyone in the UK SHOULD have a law degree!!!

I in all likelihood am not qualified to respond to this question considering the fact that I even have by no potential seen an entire episode of CI. even nonetheless, whilst i attempted to video show an episode of CI it bored me, that's in all likelihood why I by no potential have been given to the top. I even have seen many SVU episodes and maximum are very solid. they vary from being very solid to basically rather solid reckoning on the ever changing solid. as long as Olivia and Elliot are there nonetheless, its oftentimes going to be between the extra valuable episodes.

Just assume that anything you do is illegal in some way or another. The British government hates the British people.
