Popular could mean multiple things. From a pure numbers standpoint, the US by far although the popularity is growing in China. There are over 30 million golfers in the US verses 4 million total in all if Europe. If popular means percentage of overall population who plays the answer would likely be different. I would guess that answer would be one of the smaller Asian countries (where golf is wildly popular).
