I think they should outlaw cellphone usage while driving. Also, anyone who puts on make-up while driving needs to go straight to jail. There is nothing good that can come of that. I'm sorry, but it's nerve racking enough trying to make sure the idiot next to you doesn't cut you off. I'm very sorry for your neighbor, I hope she got a good attorney. I would make sure that lady paid for all her bills, and served some time in jail. Good luck and GOD bless.

I am soooo guilty of this. I put most of my make-up on every morning while driving and seem to do just fine. I hate to talk on the phone while driving. I won't answer a call unless it's my child or parents calling me while driving because I know I slow down when I'm on the phone and can't pay attention to people around me. I don't like it at all.
So... I'm kind of split in the middle, but, I really do know that the make-up thing is not safe. It's just a time saver as a single parent. A time saver that I need to change, I know! I am guilty, but I totally agree with you! It can happen soooo fast!

While it is tragic so many people are injured/killed in mva's , You can't outlaw everything..besides a recent study showed that the real problem is not simply not having both hands free , it was the distraction from total concentration that is the problem and that using a hands free cell phone device or talking to passengers was just as distracting and dangerous. Most people are just not capable of multitasking when driving .

for all the single parents get up earlier 10 min should do it in turn you have more chances of returning home to prepare dinner and show your responsibility and love instead of their probable visit to the county jail or morgue when you crashed in someone minding their own business

they should outlaw everything, that way if any cop wants to bag a person theres always a reason ... similarly, if you want to turn anyone in, you have a reason.
