Many years ago I started on Amber Ale and then progressed to Brown I loved it then and have been known to still have a bottle now and then. It is a great beer but I hate the new lables.

t'is ok.

prefer other beers these days though. Newcastle brown has retained an "old" taste that reminds me of spit and sawdust pubs. Modern beers, including realales have a smoother taste.

Have you ever tried NB in the states. Awful, what on earth do they do to it ?

I like it, although it is like drinking cola - seems to contain more alcohol than other beers. It is readily available both on tap and in bottles here in the U.S.

My hubby loves it.

We found it in America once but they sell it in tiddly little bottles, not the nice hefty ones we get here.
