Christians and evolution?

If you are a christian and believe in evolution then please answer this. Evolution says the sun before the earth, Gos says earth before sun. Evolution says animals before plants, God says plants before animals. Evolution says dry land before the seas, God says seas before dry land. Evolution have death before man, God says man first then death. Evolution has everything backwards to what the bible teaches. Why is that? Serious answers from christians please

The bible is mythology.
Evolution is science.

There are better answers as to how God put everything all together. That's what true science really is. It is the search for answers of how God did all this. Evolution is a poorly supported 200 yr old theory. Evidence gets mangled to fit the theory instead of gathering the evidence and changing the theory. Evolution is nothing but state supported religion. Think about it. Evolution requires that you "believe" in it. Does that sound like science to you?

... and the bible isn't a piece of paper passed around with each person just copying it. It's a little better process than that. Some of the original texts are still around and people look at them to compare the originals with what is out there now and say, "cool, that's how it should've been done". Very weak arguement.

It never ceases to amaze me how people (mostly Christians) can misinterpret (or misunderstand) evolution.

Sun before the earth: Evolution says NOTHING about the formation of the planet or the solar system... it says nothing of the universe even. In the bible light is created before there are any bodies to produce it (sun/stars) and the moon is referenced as a lesser light which is incorrect. The moon simply reflects the light of the sun, it does not create it's own light. More importantly how could there be the light of day and night before the sun existed? If you believe that... you are insane.

Animals before plants: Nowhere in evolutionary theory will you see the statement that animals came before plants. As a matter of fact animals would not have been able to survive on our planet before plants. Plants are responsible for converting Carbon Dioxide into breathable Oxygen. The early earth atmosphere would have been inhospitable to Oxygen breathing animals.

Seas before dry land: Once again, evolution deals with LIFE! It does not even involve itself with origins, simply how the variety of life came to be. Evolution makes no claims of sea and land. There are other scientific theories that postulate how our oceans formed. In fact, the earth started as a ball of molten rock... so yes, dry land did exist before oceans... at least on our planet, the bible is incorrect again.

Death before life: Again, you must have heard this in church. Evolution is the process by which species become better adapted to their surroundings through a series of tiny changes over great amounts of time. Sometimes adaptation leads to speciation. This is what evolution means. Do you really believe we all started from 2 modern humans and that these humans were immortal until they made a simple bad decision? Again, if you believe this... you are insane.

Lastly, science gets it's information from careful study, observation, and experimentation. The bible is based on the conjecture of man up to 6-7,000 years old. We have proper tools for discerning the truth about our universe now... let's use them.

You are wrong on some of those. Evolution does have plants before animals, and seas before land. At least if you are talking about animals. The first life is thought to have been in water. And there were plants on land before animals. If you are talking about the formation of the seas and such, then that isn't evolution, it's geology.

2. The buybull fairy tale has TWO creation stories: one says the Earth came first, the other says the sun. Why trust a fable that isn't told consistently, never mind being unproven?

I think you are confused, evolution has plants first, ocean first, and as far as the bible, take it with a grain of salt. I'm not saying it is all wrong, but translations through many different languages over thousands of years, you are bound to get some things messed up.

Moses wrote Genesis, not God. He was inspired (motivated/influenced) by God, although this did not include a natural history of the earth. The Bible is a collection of religious books, not a science textbook.

The Old Testament tells the story of the Jews and their immediate predecessors, not the history of the human species.

You're obviously confusing "God" with what some idiots on earth have said. God made the universe 14 BILLION years ago and set in motion certain laws of physics that govern it. A few HUNDREDS of years ago some crackpots started claiming they were "speaking for God" and wrote the Bible, and since then some other fools have said that not only do they know exactly what the Bible has to say about everything, but THEY THEMSELVES keep hearing the voice of God. ANY PERSON WHO CLAIMS TO KNOW WHAT GOD "WANTS" IS EITHER A LIAR OR A LUNATIC.

well u know The concept of evolution was based on human thought, from Darwin Thoughts. If u observe .... birds always birth bird, monkey always birth monkey, human always births human ....
Well i believe what bible said in Genesis which was finished written on 1513 BCE ... we, human being, is created by GOD.
Cause everything in this world exist are being created by someone. for example like a house is created by Architect, table is created by a carpenter ... so on .... and so how about us ... who is created us? ... the answer is GOD.

I am a Christian and I believe in evolution but I don't bother with this stuff because I know that this is just one of the great mysteries of life which can only be answered (for now) in the afterlife.
