Out of all honesty...

Some religious people are self-righteous.

I really wish Pavlov had also done the test on humans to demonstrate we aren't all that superior to animals. A large number of religious people claim to be open-minded, but never really consider or think about some of the things I have asked (not just Yahoo - but in RL as well). I don't understand how people can claim to be open-minded, yet when asked about religion they instantly repeat some worn-out saying from the Bible or other Religious book.

I question my Atheism almost daily. When people actually take the time to make a creative argument for God, I listen and consider carefully... (NOTE: randomly quoting passages is NOT creative).

Depending on the question, sometimes I feel the need to defend certain things. Like if something is taken out of context (most common). Many times someone will take one sentence out of the bible and make a ridiculous statement based on that one sentence. I hate to see people get all fueled up because of a lie or because of something that people don't even know what is said before or after. So, I put it back into context and let everyone still get all fueled up, but at least it's in context for crying out loud.

other postings are just too ridiculous and hateful to even respond.

What's wrong with being both a Christian and an atheist? A Christian is simply someone who believes in Jesus. Why can't an atheist believe in Jesus?
I don't actually object to all the pointless beckering, all I'm saying is can't all just believe in each others' stuff? And what's all this nonsense about Mohammed being a peepeephile? Jeez!

The finite word of God, verses the ramblings of whatever, illustrates the need and desire of a view that know better than to question His word and or change it. There is nothing in His word that is not true, that will not come true. (to past) Read it, it’s called the Bible, the Catholic one left nothing out, so be it.

They have accomplished one thing, I now think less of atheists and more of Christians. Before I came to this forum, I thought more of atheists and less of Christians. The atheists are meaner.

I had a friend who started believing. I don't associate with him anymore. Not for that reason. He couldn't follow through with a business transaction we were developing.
