The harbour-side city of Auckland is New Zealand's true town and the vivid economic heart of the country, know it with hotelbye . Auckland can also be called the "City of Sails" and it sprawls out in helter-skelter fashion between Manukau Harbour (to the west) and Waitemata Harbour (to the east) with the compact key city area correct next to the waterway. For most readers to New Zealand, Auckland is the point of arrival, and a couple of days washing up the social and outdoor attractions here should really be on every tourist's to-do list. The monuments, museums, and artwork galleries listed here are a few of the finest in the country. The suburban coastline of the town is speckled with great beaches, and the hawaiian islands of the Hauraki Gulf provide a taste of New Zealand's spectacular national park scenery right on the city's doorstep. Auckland is surely a city worth seeing.

1) What about Virgin?
2) If you can get a cheap flight to Australia or Fiji you can fly on Freedom Air to NZ for about $200-$300 NZ (about £60-£100) or Virgin Pacific for a competitive price. Don't forget that January is high season in this part of the world and its much harder to get cheap flights. Hope you make it.. Nau mai, haere mai, takoto mai me kia ora na Aotearoa!

The cheapest flight on Itchy Feet at the moment is $2039/3 = £679

!!!! I ALMOST FORGOT, TRY COURIER COMPANIES, YOU CAN GET COURIER FLIGHTS FOR COMPANIES AT VASTLY REDUCED RATES AND ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS DROP A PACKAGE FOR THEM WHEN YOU ARRIVE!!!!!!!!!!

You could try flying from London on Virgin Atlantic to Hong Kong then onto Sydney on Virgin Atlantic then from Sydney to New Zealand on Pacific Blue.

Should all work out pretty cheap.
